Overview
CookBook is a digital recipe platform that enables users to discover and share cooking ideas based on available ingredients and dietary preferences. It was developed as one of my very first projects as a frontend developer, with the goal of learning API integration and user-focused interface design.
The app integrates the Edamam API to fetch recipe data, supporting search queries based on ingredients, dietary restrictions (e.g., vegan, gluten-free), and nutritional needs. The UI was built using React and styled with vanilla CSS and utility-first Tailwind classes, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility.
This project laid the foundation for my journey as a developer, helping me understand how to build dynamic UIs, work with third-party APIs, and structure maintainable React applications.
